Who this course is for
The Supporting Attendance course gives managers the skills and confidence to effectively deal with absence matters in line with current policy requirements and recognised best practice.
It is suitable for managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
What you will learn
In this workshop you will:
- examine the behaviours required as a manager when dealing with absence issues
- examine how to arrange and hold a Return to Work interview effectively
- practice your approach to these situations using scenarios.
How the course is delivered
A blended approach to delivery, which will include a combination of trainer-led online workshop, interactive e-learning and group work activities.
The workshop is delivered online and takes two hours to complete.
Before you attend the workshop
You must read the supporting attendance policy and guidance on the staff intranet before attending on this course.
You must also complete the Supporting Attendance eLearning module on iLearn before the course, as it covers part of the course content which is not be discussed during the workshop.
You will only be considered to have completed this course once you have completed both the elearning and online workshop.
