Course Outline
Whose risk is it anyway?
This course has been designed to provide those attending with a practical, hands-on exploration of you as a risk manager in your own role, against the backdrop of the Council's framework for risk management and covers:
- your risk environment and appreciating others
- your risk type, comparing it with the Council's risk appetite
- risk psychology and risk-based decision making
- how things go wrong and what you can do to help things go well
- why you need to be risk aware.
Suitable for
All employees.
Format
The live, in person delivery format will be highly interactive with a combination of presentation, quizzes, games, and exercises therefore casual dress is acceptable. This course is deliberately being scheduled for a Friday afternoon to allow colleagues to switch off from the rest of the week, and end on an interesting and positive note.

Prerequisites
You must complete the Risk Management iLearn module before you submit a nomination form. You will not be added to the waiting list or invited to attend a workshop until you have completed this e-learning module.
