Renfrewshire Council

Senior Management and Service Changes

As work continues to make the necessary changes to secure the Council's financial stability, our focus remains on providing quality public services to our communities.

One of the changes, agreed by councillors last year, was the creation of a new department which brings together colleagues from Environment and Infrastructure (all teams), Communities and Housing (CCS, public protection, and housing teams). The new Environment, Housing and Infrastructure service will have high quality public services and great service for our communities at its core. We want to maximise the opportunities for efficiencies and create better outcomes and opportunities for local communities, all against a backdrop of financial pressures, demographic changes, and environmental impacts.

Senior management appointments
Reporting to Director, Gordon McNeil, Louise Feely has recently been appointed as Head of Housing Services. Gordon's senior leadership team includes Louise, Head of Operations and Service Development, Gavin Hutton, Head of Facilities and Property Management, Chris Dalrymple, and Gerry Hannah, recently appointed as Head of Climate, Public Protection and Roads.

The new service also takes on responsibility for resilience and civil contingencies, public protection, climate change and our environmental health teams.

Service changes
Further changes include our Procurement Team, led by Bridget Lambert, moving to Finance and Resources, and reporting to Head of Finance and Procurement, Christine McCourt. Financial Operations, led by Emma Shields will now report directly to Finance and Resources Director Alastair MacArthur.

Our Community Learning and Development and Building Communities teams, led by Carolanne Robertson, is now part of the Policy and Partnerships Service, led by Laura McIntyre, who also takes on the policy and organisational lead for our support for displaced people from Ukraine and the UK's asylum programme.
