Basic digital skills course for staff
Who the basic digital skills course is for, what you will learn, when and where the courses are on, how to apply for a place.
This course is for Council staff with limited or no digital skills, who want to learn the basics of using a computer.
What you will learn:
- How we interact with IT, for example by keyboard, finger, stylus, mouse, voice or biometrics.
- What the internet, email and logging on and logging off are.
- What a web browser or a computer virus is.
- How to search and browse the internet safely.
- How to fill out a form in a web browser.
- What cloud computing is.
- How to create and save a document.
- What uploading and downloading are.
- How to search and retrieve a document or record.
- Basics of joining a call in Microsoft Teams.
- Where you can learn more.
This one-day course is delivered by West College Scotland at their Paisley campus.
