What the consultation is about
We're looking for your views on our proposal for a public garden on the site of the former Brown Institute in Renfrew.
The proposed garden aims to recognise the heritage of the former Brown Institute by creating a public space which includes pathways, seating and a mix of native trees, shrubs and seasonal plants.
The proposals also plan to reuse materials from the previous building, including plaques and original sandstone.
This new space aims to:
- enhance the town centre environment
- promote better use of green spaces
- honour the former Brown Institute.
