LDP1 Post Examination Modifications (June 2014)

Information on the modifications to the Proposed Local Development Plan following the reporter's examination.

The Planning and Property Policy Board authorised the Planning Authority to submit the Proposed Renfrewshire Local Development Plan (as modified) to the Scottish Ministers along with a statement setting out the recommended modifications that the Planning Authority has not made and the explanation for this based on legal grounds.

Details of the 24 June 2014 meeting of the Planning and Property Policy Board can be found via the Planning and Property Policy Board webpage. The board report on the Renfrewshire Local Development Plan from that meeting can be accessed in the related content.

Renfrewshire Council proposed to adopt the Proposed Renfrewshire Local Development Plan in line with the recommendations contained within the Report of Examination from the Scottish Ministers, apart from the recommendations set out in Issue 8 - Braehead.

In relation to Braehead's Town Centre status, it is considered that recommendations contained in the Report of Examination were unreasonable as the Reporter could not have reasonably reached the conclusions and recommendations based on the evidence considered at the Examination.
