Renfrewshire Council

Classrooms for Malawi Easter fundraiser

Pop along to The Atrium in Renfrewshire House on Wednesday 27 March to pick up some Easter goodies and support our colleagues taking part in the Classrooms for Malawi project this summer.

Close up of Scottish tablet shaped into Easter eggs and wrapped in cellophane Operations manager, and Classrooms for Malawi veteran, Elaine Scott will be there between 11am-2pm selling an array of homemade tablet, sweet treats and Easter gifts including luscious candles and wax melts. Elaine said: "This July, we're heading on a two-week trip to help renovate Nugmbe secondary school in Blantyre in the southwest of Malawi. It's the first official Classrooms for Malawi trip since before the COVID-19 pandemic and I'm delighted to be going back with a group of current and previous council colleagues, including my good friend Karen Anderson who will be working with me at the Easter fundraiser.

"Any support from colleagues will be greatly appreciated and we will have lots of unique gifts and treats available, including my popular homemade tablet Easter eggs. These normally get snapped up fast, so get yourself down there quick before we sell out!"
