High-rise building fire safety assessments

Assessments at our high-rise residential buildings

We’re carrying out Single Building Assessments of our high-rise residential buildings.

These are new assessments, required by law, and are carried out by fire safety experts who assess the building and its external cladding system.

You can find out more about the Single Building Assessments (Scottish Government).

The remaining buildings are being assessed during 2026, and we’ll add the dates here when they’re known.

What happens after the assessments are completed

Each assessment takes up to 12 weeks to be completed.

Once they are completed, we’ll:

  • review the assessments and the recommendations
  • update people living in the building
  • update Elected Members and the Scottish Government
  • consult Scottish Fire and Rescue.

Home visits and information for people living in these buildings

Housing officers are visiting people living in each flat in our high-rise residential buildings to check their fire safety arrangements.

These visits are taking place over the coming months.
