Travel by train
Paisley Gilmour Street is the closest train station to the event, with regular services running from Glasgow Central, Ayrshire and Inverclyde.
The journey time to Paisley from Glasgow Central is less than 15 minutes. On arrival at Paisley Gilmour St, exit via County Square to reach the festival site.
Travel by bus
McGill’s Buses operate several services to Paisley town centre from across Renfrewshire and beyond. Please note that some bus stops and routes may be impacted by road closures.
Travel by car
Paisley town centre is a 12-minute drive from Glasgow City centre and just minutes away from the M8 motorway exits 27 and 29.
Car parking is available across Paisley town centre, but please note that some car parks will be impacted by event road closures. If you’re travelling by car, we recommend the following parking locations:
- Piazza Shopping Centre car park (open until 9pm)
- Horizon Car Park at Paisley Shopping Centre (open until 10pm)
- West College Scotland

Paisley Halloween Festival can be a busy event, with some disruption to traffic and public transport. Please read the road closure guidance below and plan ahead.
The following closures will be in place:
From 00.01 on Tuesday 20 October to 17.00 on Tuesday 27 October.
- Bridge St from Renfrewshire House to Bridge St car park
- Bridge St car park
Wednesday 21 October 21.00 to Monday 26 October at 12 Noon
- Lagoon Leisure Centre car park
Wednesday 21 October at 23.00 to Monday 26 October 17.00
- Central Road
Friday 23 October at 00.01 until Saturday 24 October 23.30
- Orchard Street Car Park
From 15.00 to 23.00 on Friday 23 October & 13.00 to 23.00 on Saturday 24 October.
- Smithhill Street from Gauze Street to Central Road
- Gauze Street from Silk Street to St Mirren Street
- Lawn Street from Silk Street to Gauze Street
- Cotton Street Northbound and Southbound
- Causeyside Street from St Mirren Street to New Street
- Moss St from school Wynd to High Street
- Orchard Street (local access only and no access to Bridge Street)
- Marshalls Lane (local access only)

Additional road closures will be in place while the parade makes its way around the town centre.
From 18.00 - 21.00 on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October and from 18.00 - 21.00 on Saturday 24 October. The following roads will be closed, with diversions in place:
- Gauze Street from Silk Street to Mill Street
- Mill Street from Incle Street to Lonend
- Near side land closed from Johnston street to Lonend
- Seedhill Road from Cochrane Street to Mill St
- Millar Street
- Christie Street from Lagoon Car park to Millar Street

The following no parking restrictions will be in place from 00.01 on 23 October to 23.00 on 24 October.
