What our Licensing Standards Officers do

Licensing legislation, lodging objections or representations to a licence application regularly can be a complex process.

Our Licensing Standard Officers may be the first contact the public have with the licensing authority and offer appropriate support to anyone involved in the Board's licensing processes.

What they can help with

They can provide guidance, mediation and compliance about the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Gambling Act 2005.

The Licensing Standards Officer also provides information as to application procedures and may be able to signpost members of the public to helpful resources, such as the Toolkit Resource published by Alcohol Focus Scotland.
