Guidance for wheeled bins

  • Please put your grey bin out on the kerbside by 7am on your collection day.
  • We collect bins from 7am to 6:30pm. If you cannot present on the morning of collection before 7am please present the night before.
  • Please ensure you are presenting the correct bin on your collection day and make it easy to access for the collectors.
  • Leave the bin with handles facing the roadway, but try to keep pavement clear for pedestrians.
  • Don't overfill bin and keep the lid closed.
  • If you have extra rubbish that cannot fit into your grey bin, please take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre or call to arrange a special uplift (there may be a charge for this service).
  • We won't be able to collect your grey bin if it is overflowing, and we won't be able to collect extra rubbish bags left on the pavement.
  • Please put nappies and personal hygiene waste in a bag before putting into your grey bin.
  • If you have medical waste, please contact us to discuss appropriate disposal. This should not be placed in the grey bin without consultation with a Waste Advisor.
  • Please return the bin to your property as soon as possible after we empty it.
  • Report any damaged bins to us.
  • Only put the correct waste in each of the bins.
  • Please keep bin(s) clean
