A £337million investment in Renfrewshire Council housing was approved by councillors to ensure tenants have warm, welcoming homes and housing services which meet their needs.
The estate includes a historic mansion, woodland, gardens, forest trails, animal ark, play areas for children and dogs, café, visitors centre, gift shop and ranger-led activities.
Work has started on the construction of 65 new council houses in Gallowhill as part of Renfrewshire Council’s large-scale housing regeneration programme.
Councillors will consider possible sites for new Trinity and Johnstone High Schools and a new-build primary school in Johnstone as part of a redesign of education in the town.
