Riverbrae School raises money for charity Macmillan

Riverbrae School recently took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraising campaign.

Pupils, staff and families raised £910 for the charity by holding the event, which included a cake raffle.

The event was a team effort across the school. Senior pupils designed the invitations and posters. They also made the cakes for the event.

Janette Barr, who works as a key worker, said: "A massive thank you to everyone in our school community who contributed their time, talents and support to make the coffee morning a huge success.

"The funds raised will go directly towards providing emotional, practical and medical support to people living with cancer."
