Detailed planning permission has been granted for Tech Terrace, a major new development at the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS) in Renfrewshire.
Adjacent to Glasgow Airport, AMIDS is Scotland’s home of advanced manufacturing and innovation and provides a positive environment which delivers a major boost to Scotland’s manufacturing and Life Science sectors.
Tech Terrace aims to establish a world-class, high-value manufacturing cluster within a campus environment, where innovative organisations can work together to pioneer breakthroughs and meet challenges of the future and drive economic growth.
This speculative 30,000 sq. ft development will deliver high quality and flexible units within an attractive landscaped setting with footprints starting from circa 2,000 sq ft.
Supported by a Scottish Enterprise grant of £4.74 million and matched funding from AMIDS joint venture partners Renfrewshire Council and Buccleuch Property, Tech Terrace will address a recognised lack of supply within the market, enabling high-growth advanced manufacturing companies to scale. The development sits within the AMIDS and Glasgow Airport Tax Site, further supporting companies by offering various fiscal incentives.

The construction of Tech Terrace is targeted to begin in the Autumn.
