Both Children's Houses are operated by Renfrewshire Council. Inspections were carried out by the Care Inspectorate. The scrutiny body carries out inspections to ensure young people receive the very best care.

Leadership within the Children’s Houses is strong, focusing on continuous improvement.

Relationships between staff and young people are lasting and nurturing. Young people have a voice on how they are cared for, and their rights are respected and advanced.

There is a strong focus on education, wellbeing, and future plans for young people.

Proactive team and partnership work has opened up opportunities for young people.

Councillor Emma Rodden, Education Convener for Renfrewshire Council, praised the reports. She said:

All young people deserve to grow up loved, safe and respected. Providing the very best support for our young people is vital so they can achieve the very best outcomes now and in the future.

Our staff work tirelessly to provide safe, supportive and nurturing environments for our young people. It is fantastic to see the teams' dedication and commitment reflected in highly positive inspection results.
