From Wednesday 2 September 2026, West of Scotland BSL, supported by Renfrewshire Council are launching two new community sessions.
The BSL Sign Club & Café and BSL Storytelling and Poetry Workshop will run at The Kiln Creative Learning Hub in Paisley.
BSL Sign Club & Café will run 6pm-9pm and is a welcoming space for Deaf people, BSL learners, families and anyone curious about BSL and Deaf culture to come together, sign and connect. No experience is needed and there is no booking required.
BSL Storytelling & Poetry Workshop is a six-session creative programme led by Graham Dow, a profoundly Deaf BSL tutor. These sessions are building towards a live BSL performance on Wednesday 3 March 2027. They are open to anyone 18+ and must be booked as spaces are limited. Sessions will run 6pm-7pm with the option to join with the Sign Club & Café after.
