The Renfrewshire Local Employability Partnership (RLEP) has marked September as employability month and has set out a programme of recruitment events, employer events, workshops, information sessions and showcases.
Activities are designed for people at every stage of their employment journey, from school pupils and their parents, young people and individuals seeking work, to those looking to progress or change career, or facing barriers to employment.
Approximately 50 employers are to take part including Home Instead, Bluebirdcare, McTaggart Construction, Onecloud Healthcare, Visiting Angels, the Council's Modern Apprenticeships and Traineeships, and HMRC.

The Renfrewshire Local Employability Partnership has been established for over 15 years and is recognised nationally as best practice in terms of local place-based partnership approaches to meeting the needs of residents.
In the past year, over 1,900 residents have been supported by Renfrewshire Council’s employability services to overcome barriers to work and secure positive employment, education and training opportunities.

I’ve been in a couple of times speaking to an advisor regarding CVs and who’s best to talk to in terms of where to go to progress. I’m hoping to get my dream job out of this and the courses will at the very least help me bump up my CV.
