Some young people who experience care* won’t get the same number of gifts as their peers.
The Promise Champs group have set up a Christmas Gift wishlist for people to buy gifts so more care-experienced young people can enjoy the festive season.
People can buy a gift from the Promise Champs Christmas Gift drive. Remember to select ‘Buy as gift’ and send it to the Promise Champs Gift (Youth Services) address.
Items bought from the wishlist will be delivered to the Council’s Youth Services team to be wrapped and delivered to care-experienced young people across Renfrewshire.
Gift wrapping will take place between 8 and 12 December. People can volunteer to help wrap Christmas gifts.
*Young people in Council’s children’s houses and living with foster carers all receive presents and aren’t part of this gift drive.
Gifts are for other young people who may be ‘on the edges of care’ such as living at home under a supervision order or in kinship care (living with a relative who is not their birth parent).
The Promise Champs thank everyone who buys or donates a gift to help make Christmas a little more special for care-experienced young people aged 12 to 24 in Renfrewshire.
