Volunteer for building inspections (Quality Circle)

What these groups do

'Quality Circle' is the name for our building inspection programme carried out by residents and tenants at our high-rise buildings and sheltered housing complexes.

The groups do 4 inspections a year. Volunteers do not inspect their own buildings.

Initial inspections highlight any issues to our housing services staff. The same Quality Circle group will return to carry out a follow up inspection a few months later.

How you can volunteer

To join one of our Quality Circle groups, you must:

  • be 16 or older
  • live in one of our high-rise buildings or sheltered housing complexes.

We provide transport to and from the building being inspected. We ask each group member to give around 8 days a year to participate, with each inspection lasting a few hours.

Email us at tenantparticipation@renfrewshire.gov.uk if you're interested in joining the one of our Quality Circle groups.
