Household waste recycling centres

Locations and opening times, what you can dispose of at a household waste recycling centre, permits for vehicles, arrangements at the centres.

You must bring proof that you're a resident of Renfrewshire, like a council tax bill or your driving licence, or you will not be permitted to enter and use our recycling centres. If using using a van, pickup, minibus or car with a trailer, you must get a permit in advance.

All our recycling centres are open seven days per week.

They are open from 8am to 6.30pm (last entry 6pm).

You must bring proof of residency in Renfrewshire, like a Council Tax bill or your driving licence to all sites or you will not be permitted to enter.

Only cars are allowed into our recycling sites - except at our Linwood site where larger vehicles are allowed including vans, pickups and trailers

Larger vehicles must apply for a permit in advance or you will be not be able to enter. Larger vehicles are required to show photographic identification and proof of residency in Renfrewshire with their permit. Visit Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) Permit for info on how to apply online.

Enforcement activity will take place at each site, including automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) and Enforcement Officers, to ensure commercial waste is not illegally disposed of.
