What the Carers Connected Forum is, when the Carers Connected Forum meets, how to join.
What the Carers Connected Forum is
Working and caring for someone can be physically demanding and emotionally stressful. Many carers may feel unsupported, isolated and alone. Sometimes talking to someone in a similar situation can help.
Carers Connected is a council network for people who manage both work and caring responsibilities or support a family member or work colleague who has caring responsibilities.
Called 'Care for a cuppa?', they are friendly online catch ups with other unpaid working carers in the council. It's a chance to share your experiences and get advice from others in similar positions.
You can explore what support is available from the Council and its partners and connect with others in a safe, confidential and relaxed setting.
When the Carers Connected Forum meets
The group meets online every two months. As well as an opportunity to chat to other carers at the council, the group often features guest speakers and organisations who provide support for working unpaid carers.
The next 'Care for a Cuppa' virtual session is on Thursday 10 October at 11am.
