High hedge issues with neighbours

If you have a high hedge issue with a neighbour

If you have an issue with a neighbour about a high hedge, you should see if you can resolve it between you first.

We have a free mediation service that could help you resolve a dispute with your neighbour.

If you can't resolve the issue, you can consider an application for a high hedge notice where:

  • a high hedge interferes with the reasonable enjoyment of a domestic property
  • the issue has not been resolved amicably between you and your neighbours.

If it's an issue in a public area, you can tell us online about an overgrown hedge.
