Renfrewshire Council

Grass cutting and grounds maintenance

To keep our towns and villages looking fresh and tidy, our teams carry out all the required maintenance for an area at the same time.

They work on a 14-day cycle between April and October and tackle a different area of Renfrewshire each day - you can see below when they will be in your local community.

While they are in your area, they cut all open spaces, school playing fields, public parks, sports pitches and cemeteries - as well as providing the grass and hedge cutting assistance scheme for residents and council house tenants.

They return the next day for any areas they weren't able to complete the previous day.

Hedge cutting is provided twice a year and operates in line with the new grass cutting model, with communities seeing their first cut between May and July and their second cut between August and October.
