Provost Cameron's Christmas Card Competition

Could your little one switch on the Christmas lights in Paisley, Renfrew or Johnstone?

Provost Cameron with 2022 Christmas Card designs Switching on the Christmas lights is a dream come true, and this year it will be a reality for three lucky school pupils!

Renfrewshire's Provost, Lorraine Cameron, is once again inviting children of primary school age to design a Christmas card for 2024. Three winners will be selected with each winner having the chance to push the button to light up either Paisley, Johnstone or Renfrew.

The winning designs will also be used for Provost Cameron's official Christmas cards and sent out all over the world.

The theme for 2023 is "Christmas Dinner". This means your card needs to feature Christmas Dinner in any way you can think of. We can't wait to see where your imagination will take you!

Although there will be only 3 designs chosen for the Provost's official cards, we are delighted that every card that is submitted to the competition will actually be forwarded to I Am Me Scotland, who will arrange for them to go to our elderly residents across Renfrewshire.

'I Am Me Scotland' is a multi-award winning charity working towards changing attitudes and behaviours so that disabled and vulnerable people can feel safe within their communities.

This might be the only card some will receive so if you could write a message, for example 'I hope you have a lovely Christmas', signed with the child's first name, age and name of the Primary School, it will go a long way to making someone feel really special this Christmastime.  All of the cards should be on A4 card or paper so that it can be folded into an A5 card with the message inside.

The image of the 3 winning entries will be replicated in a flat A5 format, so although you're free to use glitter etc, we won't be able to replicate that in the print for the Christmas cards.

Entries must be received by Thursday 24 October and can be posted to:
