Johnstone Day Centre

Johnstone Day Centre provides day care to older people to help them remain in their community and be as independent as possible.

A typical day in the centre offers varied activities which promote social interaction and aim to meet individual, personal and physical care needs.

We offer support with personal care, for example, hairdressing, chiropody, bathing and shaving.

We encourage clients to enjoy company and take advantage of the many activities/social events which we provide. These include:

  • outings
  • group activities (quiz games, music, craft work)
  • reality orientation
  • library service, and
  • support and advice to carers

We provide tea and toast, lunch and afternoon tea, and can cater for all dietary needs.

There is a day care charge and a small charge for meals. Staff can advise you how much it will cost or give you a price list.
