Current coronavirus guidance for civil marriage ceremonies

The number of people allowed in our civil partnership and marriage suites is now is 60, plus the wedding party of four.

The wedding couple must wear face coverings in any indoor public areas before and after the ceremony. 

They do not have to wear face coverings during the ceremony, providing they maintain a 1 metre distance, or a screen or partition is present between them and others, including the registrar or celebrant.

If one or both of the wedding couple are being accompanied down the aisle, the people accompanying them don't have to wear a face covering for that part of the ceremony.

Unless you are exempt, all other wedding guests must wear a face covering in indoor public places, including registration offices, hotels or other wedding or civil partnership venues, including during the ceremony. 

Children under 12 do not have to wear a face covering.

The registrar or celebrant does not have to wear a face covering during the ceremony, providing they maintain a 1 metre distance, or a screen or partition is present between them and others.
