Renfrewshire Council

Gallowhill housing consultation

We're delivering new Council housing in Gallowhill.

These homes will add to the local council housing supply, meeting the need for affordable homes and enhancing the local area.

New Council houses

McTaggart Construction have been awarded the contract to design and build 65 homes at a vacant site off Montgomery Road.

The development will provide a mix of property types and sizes including 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes as well 1 and 2 bed cottage flats and a small number of 1, 2 and 3 bed bungalows.

All the properties will have their own designated garden area with many of the homes wheelchair accessible.

All these homes will be warm and welcoming, with air source heat pumps for their heating and they will meet the highest standards in energy efficiency and insulation.

The development will also see the play park being relocated and upgraded nearby.

Second public consultation drop-in event

McTaggart Construction are holding a second public consultation event on Thursday 27 June 2024.

This is a chance to see how they have developed the designs and site layout following initial feedback.

You can drop in anytime between 3pm and 7pm to Gallowhill Community Centre (166 Netherhill Road, Paisley, PA3 4SF).

Provide feedback online

You can see the proposals on the McTaggart website and complete a short feedback survey from Monday 17 June until Friday 28 June 2024.

What happens next

Feedback gathered at the public consultation events and through online feedback will shape the final designs and site layout before a planning application is submitted.
