Youth voice groups
You can be involved in important decisions and planning that affect you and your community by joining your local youth voice group.
Youth voice group is a fun but effective way to tackle the issues that affect young people. You can:
- attend regular groups
- meet new people
- learn new skills.
Renfrewshire Youth Voice (RYV)
Renfrewshire Youth Voice (RYV) is a charity run by young people and supported by Renfrewshire Council's Youth Services team. They cover all of Renfrewshire and work with local services to help make sure they are providing what is needed for young people.
The group are involved in:
- campaigning
- organising events
- celebrating the achievements of Renfrewshire's young people.
The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP)
The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) is made up of young people elected from across Scotland to represent young people's views.
Renfrewshire's elected Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) help raise awareness of local issues and take them to a national platform to plan campaigns for change.
Local elections and support for candidates and serving MSYPs in Renfrewshire is provided by Youth Services. The Scottish Youth Parliament is a non-political organisation.
