The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE)

What the DofE is, who it's for and how to get involved.

The Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) award is an internationally recognised personal development programme, open to any young person from the aged 14 to 25. There are three levels of achievement: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

You can work through all three levels or can enter directly at any level if you fit the minimum age criteria.
You can:

  • learn new skills,
  • meet new friends
  • boost your confidence
  • pick up a recognised Award.

Youth Services, Renfrewshire Council's youth work team, supports the development of the programme within Renfrewshire. We work in partnership with schools and offer open group opportunities for young people who might benefit from it.
