Marriage fees from 1 June 2022 for marriages and civil marriages held at a registry office or other venue, with or without guests, deposits and cancellation fees.

Marriage fees for all weddings
These fees apply to all marriages, whether religious or civil:

Total cost is £100
Civil marriage fees at a registration office
Civil marriages may be arranged up to one calendar year in advance subject to a booking fee of £63.
Civil marriage: Mondays to Fridays, without guests

Deposit
A £63 deposit is required when you book your ceremony.
Cancellation fees
If you have to cancel or change your civil marriage, there will be a cancellation fee of £63 which would be forfeited from your original deposit.
Civil Marriage Notice fees of £90 are also forfeited if the ceremony is cancelled after the notices have been lodged.
