Recruitment event - Soft Facilities Management jobs

We currently have a number of job vacancies available in our Soft Facilities Management team. We will be holding a recruitment event in February at Park Mains High School.

Location, time and date  

The event takes place at Park Mains High School, Barrhill Road, Erskine on Tuesday 15 February 2022.

There are two sessions. The first one is between 10am and 12midday. The second one is between 2pm and 4pm.

Facilities Operatives

  • working in our schools and nurseries covering various duties such as cleaning, catering and maintenance (compliance)


  • working within community buildings 

School Crossing Patrollers

  • various locations across Renfrewshire


  • working within our care and extra care facilities


  • working in various council buildings and premises 

Applying for a job

You can fill out an application form at our recruitment event. Successful applicants will be offered an immediate interview and can complete their recruitment checks at the event. 

Alternatively, apply for a job on MyJobScotland. Successful applicants will be invited to an interview at the recruitment event on Tuesday 15 February. 

Evidence to bring with you 

If you want to apply for any of these roles at our recruitment event you must bring the following proofs of identification: 

  • proof of current address - a utility bill or bank statement (must be dates within the last 3 months) 
  • National Insurance Number 
  • passport or driving licence and birth certificate 

If you don't have photographic identification, please bring two different proof of address documents dated within the last three months. 

You also need to bring the names, email addresses and telephones numbers of two work related references. Your first reference should be your current or most recent employer. The second should be from another employer within the last three years. 

If you only have one employer, then your current line manager and one character reference will be accepted. If you have no formal employers, two character references (e.g. a former lecturer, teacher, friend or neighbour) will be accepted.

You can get one of the following buses to Park Mains High School. 

  • McGills 757 (Clydebank to Paisley) 
  • McGills 22 (Erskine to Paisley) 
  • McGills x23 (Erskine to Glasgow)  

If you're arriving from the south of the River Clyde (from Paisley, Renfrew, Inchinnan), you should get off the bus at the North Barr stop near Park Mains High School on Rashielee Road.

Anyone coming from the north of the river (from Clydebank, Erskine) you should alight at the North Barr stop at New Erskine Parish Church on Rashielee Road. 

Please note, there is limited parking available at the venue.
