Renfrewshire Council

How strike action will affect schools and nurseries

Information on planned strike action and how this affects schools and nurseries.

Page updated: Friday 22 September at 5.30pm

There will be strike action in schools and most nurseries on:

  • Tuesday 26 September
  • Wednesday 27 September
  • Thursday 28 September.

You may need to make your own childcare arrangements if your child's school or nursery is closed on a day of planned strike action.

If there are any changes to these closures, we will let you know here.

All schools and nurseries will be open as normal on Friday 29 September.

Parents and carers of children and young people at primary and secondary school who receive a free school meal on the basis of family circumstances (on certain benefits) will receive a payment to cover the three strike days. This will be part of the next payment to cover school holidays in October.
