Dargavel school provision – Section 102
Dear Dargavel community member
I am writing to make you aware councillors will, when they meet this Thursday (29 February), consider a report on the council’s handling of the issues around school accommodation in the Dargavel area.
This relates to the Section 102 report prepared for the Accounts Commission earlier this year. This covered how the council had responded to the issues created by the historic errors with school-roll projections in Dargavel, and the work done since 2022 to put solutions in place.
As part of this, there is a requirement for the Accounts Commission’s findings and recommendations to be considered by a meeting of the full council, and for councillors to agree any subsequent actions.
This will happen when they meet on Thursday at 9.30am, in the council chambers at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley. Members of the public are allowed to attend the meeting. It will also be available to view online.
