How can I recycle it?

• Old pet blankets or beds made from fabric can be recycled with textiles at a recycling centre
• Used hay, straw and sawdust bedding from 'vegetarian' animals such as rabbits or guinea pigs can be put in your household garden waste collection (if this service is offered in your area) 
• Alternatively, it can be taken to a recycling centre and recycled with garden waste. Please d not put plastic bags into your garden bin or skip.  

What about animal waste?

Pet waste such as cat litter should be bagged and put in the general waste bin.
