Paisley Christmas Lights 2018

Town centre events programme

Paisley's is already established as one of the must-visit destinations in Scotland for major events - and we want to grow that even further.

Holding events in the town centre doesn't just mean some great days and nights out - it brings huge numbers of visitors into the area, raising our profile, and boosting the local economy and town centre trade. In 2018, our major events programme brought 160,000 attendees into the area and was worth £4.7m to the local economy.

Highlights of the current programme include the the Paisley Food and Drink Festival (April), British Pipe Band Championships (May), the Paisley Halloween Festival and the annual Spree festival (both October), as well as old favourites such as Sma' Shot Day (July) and the annual Christmas Lights Switch-ons (November).
