Improving Our Workplace Survey
Have your say and tell us what it's like to work at Renfrewshire Council by completing our Improving our Workplace survey.
Your voice is important. We want to hear from you, whatever your role and wherever you're located, so we can be sure the survey results reflect the experience of everyone who works here.
By giving just 15 minutes of your time, you can help provide an accurate, up to date picture of what it's like to work here and how we can better live our values to make Renfrewshire Council the workplace we all want it to be.
All responses are completely confidential and anonymous.
We will conduct the survey every three years, and your feedback will be used to inform policy and decisions that will help shape future service improvement plans.
The survey is open until Wednesday 9 October 2024.

Background
While some of you have taken part in your own service engagement, it has been some time since we carried out a council-wide employee survey about our workplace.
After the unique demands of the last few years, it's more important than ever that we have an up-to-date picture of what it's like to work at Renfrewshire Council and identify what we can improve.
The insights gathered will complement our ongoing engagement through our Employee Engagement Forums and together will help us all live our values and shape future service improvement plans.
How do I access and complete
You can complete the survey online, either on a council issued device or your personal device where possible.
The survey is accessible using a screen reader.
If you are unable to complete the survey digitally, we have a limited number of paper copies available. Please request this from your line manager.
Once you have completed the paper version of the survey, place it in the envelope provided and drop it in the ballot box or pass to your line manager who will return it to our People and Organisational Development team.
What can I expect
The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete.
We'll ask you how you feel about your job, your manager, your health and wellbeing, your workplace and your learning and development opportunities, as well as more general questions about the council and our policies.
Your answers are all completely anonymous so please feel confident to share your thoughts and experiences safely, openly, and honestly. For some questions, you can also choose to 'prefer not to say'.
What will you do with my feedback
All responses are completely confidential and anonymous.
Your feedback will be used to inform important decisions on workforce planning, employee benefits, new and updated policies, our workplace improvements, recognition and learning and development, to name just a few.
Once all feedback has been gathered, results will be analysed, and our People & Organisational Development team will analyse the data to look for trends and identify areas for improvement.
We'll report back with the key findings and next steps before the end of the year.
Data statement
Survey responses are anonymous and confidential. The online data will be held on Microsoft Forms and exported to an excel spreadsheet.
Paper copies of the survey questions will be available from line managers and completed forms returned in ballot boxes. Data will be transferred manually from paper forms to Microsoft Forms by the Customer and Business Services Team.
