Industrial action impacting schools and nurseries—please plan ahead
We have been notified by Unison and GMB of their intention to take strike action on Tuesday 26, Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 September 2023.
If this affects you as a member of staff or as a parent or carer of a child or young person, please plan ahead.
Colleagues whose roles are directly impacted by the closure of schools and nurseries can expect to receive the information they need from their service in the coming days. If you have any questions, please contact your line-manager, Head Teacher or Head of Centre.
If your child's school or nursery is closed, or if your child normally attends after school care at one of these locations, you may need to make your own childcare arrangements for the duration of the strike action. If you have any difficulties, please speak to your line manager.
All schools and nurseries will open as normal on Friday 29 September.
See full details on the schools and nurseries impacted by strike action.
If there is any change in position, we will update our website and social channels, so please keep an eye on these in the coming days.
