Clothed in love is a volunteer led initiative that provides clothing and other essentials for babies and young children in Renfrewshire.
In support of this good cause, 7 elected members will be challenged to eat five different dishes throughout the event, taking place at 5pm, today, Thursday 17 August in the Council Chambers.
If you are at Renfrewshire House during this time, why not pop along to watch the show? And what a show it's sure to be!
"Think 'I'm a Celebrity', although we won't be expecting anyone to eat something that is currently alive," said Provost Cameron. "I hope that comes as much as a relief to my fellow participants as it did to me!
"Be assured though, this is a challenge and we won't get off scot-free, these foods won't be your normal everyday foods and to add an even bigger surprise, we actually don't know what we'll be eating until we turn up!"
If you can't make it along, you can still watch by tuning in to the livestream on Provost Cameron's Facebook page.
If you'd like to show your support, you can send a donation via the event JustGiving page.
Provost Cameron explained: "Clothed in Love are part of the Mossvale Church Charity and do incredible work helping the most vulnerable families in our communities with clothing and many other items.
"Supporting local good causes is very important to me and a challenge is a great way to raise awareness and do some fundraising at the same time."
"All of our contestants (including myself!) are looking for sponsorship so please consider making a donation and helping us support local families in need. Every penny of your donation goes directly to this charity.
"I would be delighted if you would consider coming along to support the councillors - or laugh at them - whatever is your preference!"
