Back in November 2022, we started the conversation "Are we an inclusive employer?" and outlined our ambition to create an environment where everyone can feel valued and thrive, regardless of their personal characteristics or circumstances.
We began by inviting colleagues from across the council to participate in roundtable discussions, to listen to their experience of equality, diversity and inclusion at work.
To help us get a better understanding of how we are doing against that aim, and where we need to improve, we've partnered with Inclusive Employers, an external company who specialise in supporting organisations to become truly inclusive for all.

Your feedback will remain anonymous, and will help to shape priorities for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion over the next few years.
For colleagues who don't have regular access to emails, a paper copy of the survey has been sent to your home address along with return instructions.
The survey will be open until Friday 30 June 2023, and Inclusive Employers will be making recommendations to us based on your feedback, so it's a great opportunity for you to have you say.
Next steps
Once all the information has been collated and analysed by Inclusive Employers, we'll receive a report detailing how you feel about Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at Renfrewshire Council. From here we'll develop an action plan to ensure that we create the best environment for everyone.
