Essential bridge maintenance is planned between Junctions 25 (Cardonald) and 25A (Braehead) on the M8 eastbound from Monday 17 April until Thursday 27 July 2023.

Colleagues who live or travel by the affected area are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys along this route as traffic management will be in place.

What to expect

• Refurbishment works on three bridges between Junctions 25 and 25A of the eastbound M8 motorway
• Contraflow involving a single lane crossover from the eastbound outside lane to the westbound outside lane.
• Full closures overnight from 8pm to 6am with a signed diversion.
• Average speed traffic cameras will be in operation to ensure speed limit compliance and safe working conditions for the maintenance team.
• Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout.

The works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
