Local events and tributes

Renfrewshire's Provost Lorraine Cameron has paid tribute to The Queen on behalf of the people of the area.

A proclamation ceremony took place at the flagpoles outside Renfrewshire House on Sunday 11 September at 12.30pm.

Flags are being flown at half-mast at Renfrewshire House in Paisley, Houstoun Square in Johnstone and Renfrew Town Hall.

Flags will remain at half-mast until after the funeral of The Queen on Monday 19 September 2022.


Books of condolence

You can sign a book of condolences from Monday 12 to Tuesday 20 September, from 9am to 5pm, at:

  • Renfrewshire House in Paisley
  • Johnstone Town Hall
  • Renfrew Town Hall
  • Tweedie Hall in Linwood

The books of condolences will not be available on Sunday 18 September or Monday 19 September.
