Renfrewshire Council and other local agencies are committed to helping young people aged 16 - 19 attain their career choice.
Modern apprenticeships are a great way for young people to gain skills and a recognised qualification - called an SVQ - while earning a salary. We offer the following types of apprenticeships:
- Office based apprenticeships, including business administration and customer service.
- Craft apprenticeships, including construction, horticulture, motor vehicle maintenance, and many other trades.
Vocational education programmes are also a good way to prepare you for certain types of jobs. Students are prepared as trainees and are able to gain the practical skills they need to work in their chosen line of work.
If you would like to discuss available apprenticeships, please contact us using the below details. You may also find it useful to visit the Skills Development Scotland website, which contains some useful information about modern apprenticeships.
