You should expect the following standards from our home care service.
We will:
- involve you in assessing your needs, which we will complete within four weeks of your first contact.
- issue you with an information folder within four weeks of completing your assessment. This will include a copy of your care plan and diary which is a record of the help you need. This will be kept in your home.
- review your service once per year. However you can ask for a review of your service at any time if you fell your needs have changed.
- check your income level and make sure you are in receipt of all appropriate benefits.
- give you information regarding any potential charge for services, after your income level has been checked.
- carry out a risk assessment in your home, if required, to make sure we can deliver a safe and appropriate service.
- make sure that you have received all the relevant information about the service you are receiving and have fully understood the information given to you.
- investigate all complaints within the agreed timescales and put things right when they go wrong.
They will:
- show you their identity cards.
- consult your care plan to make sure they know about you and the help you may need.
- complete and sign the care diary after each visit.
- not smoke in your home.
- be trained and supported to make sure they carry out their jobs professionally and will have procedures and policies for all the services they provide.
- be polite and helpful at all times.
- treat you with respect and keep all information confidential.
