You should expect the following standards of service from our staff providing support to your family.
We will:
- make sure that every child protection concern raised, will be investigated within the same day,
- respond to domestic violence concerns immediately we receive them from the Police,
- work with you to support you and your family to remain together,
- provide parenting assessments, if you have been assessed as requiring this service,
- provide reports to the Scottish Children's Reporter's Administration within the agreed timescales,
- work with children and young people to help them understand the effect of crime in the community,
- make sure that you and your family's rights are respected at all times and that your welfare is our priority,
- make sure that children and young people have their say,
- ensure that you have received all the relevant information about the service you are receiving and have fully understood the information given to you,
- acknowledge your written or e-communication enquiry within 3 working days, and
- investigate all complaints within agreed timescales and put things right when they go wrong.
Staff will:
- wear their identity card at all times or show it to you if it is not practical to wear it,
- not smoke in your home,
- be trained and supported to ensure they carry out their jobs professionally and will have procedures and policies for all the services they provide,
- be polite and helpful at all times, and
- treat you with respect and keep information confidential.
