We offer support with personal care, for example, hairdressing, chiropody, bathing and shaving. We encourage clients to enjoy company and take advantage of the many activities/social events which we provide. These include:

• outings;
• monthly themed celebrations (such as Burns' Day or St Valentine's Day,);
• group activities (quiz games, music);
• arts and crafts sessions;
• gardening club;
• library service; and
• support and advice to carers.

We provide tea and toast on arrival, lunch and homebaking then afternoon tea or juice and biscuits. We cater for all dietary needs. There is a day care charge and a small fee for meals. Staff can tell you how much it will cost, or give you a price list.

You can also let us know what you think about meals, activities, staff and transport at any time. We also encourage feedback on a regular basis by issuing mini surveys and hosting reviews.

Participation

We actively seek your participation in making decisions about the centre. You can, if you wish, get involved in:

• Focus groups;
• Activity planning groups;
• Client meetings; and
• Recruitment of staff.

GPs and other healthcare professionals can also make referrals and after you have been referred a member of staff will contact you to arrange to visit you at home and assess your needs.
