You can also contact any member of the team if you work for another agency and want to make a referral to social work.
ASeRT (Adult Service Request Team) deals with all service requests for adult services including:
- Home care
- Occupational therapy
- Community care (including respite, day care and residential)
- Community alarms
- Mental health
- Adult protection
- Carers (offering support or advice to those caring for a relative, friend, neighbour) / carers' self assessments
- Sensory impairment
- Physical disability day services (previously the Disability Resource Centre and Flexible Independent Personal Support Services)
- Royal Alexandra Hospital, Social Work Service
- Renfrewshire Learning Disability
- Reablement services for selected areas
- Integrated Alcohol Team
- Alcohol Problems Clinic
- Independent day care
- Health referrals/rehabilitation and enablement service (previously single point of access) and
- Home based respite.
The team deals with all requests, from anywhere in Renfrewshire, for:
Reablement
- Home care (e.g. home carers, community meals, overnight service, rapid response)
- Occupational therapy (e.g. bathing assessment, toileting equipment)
- Visual impairment (e.g. information and advice, pre-registration, new registration and rehabilitation assessments, skill training)
- Hearing Impairment (e.g. communication support, information and advice, hearing needs assessment)
