Volunteers (16+) are urgently required to get involved in our services. Experience of working with people with disabilities is not essential as we will provide training when you join. Our next training session starts on Monday 24 October 2011.

Book a place on our next training session by emailing us at flexicare.sw@renfrewshire.gov.uk

To join you need to:
Book a place for training
Training runs weekly for six weeks, each session lasting approximately two hours, 7pm-9pm. All expenses will be reimbursed.

By the end of the training volunteers will have a better understanding of the rights and needs of people with a learning disability and ASD. You will also be more confident to work with other volunteers and service users and learn new skills in many different areas.
Ongoing training is also offered covering topics such as ASD awareness, basic sign language and group work training. We will provide all volunteers with continuous support throughout their volunteer placement.
