Social Enquiry Reports are requested by the Court to assist in deciding what sentence to impose. Reports are provided for all young offenders:
- under the age of 21,
- all adult offenders who may be sentenced to custody for the first time
- or are already subject to supervision
- and any other case as the sentencer may determine.
Reports are prepared by criminal justice social workers based at each of the area teams whose details are contained in the right hand menu.
