Social enquiry reports

Social Enquiry Reports are requested by the Court to assist in deciding what sentence to impose. Reports are provided for all young offenders:

The social worker’s report provides information about the offender’s involvement in offending and the problems and issues in the individuals life which could be addressed by social work support and guidance. The report also assess the likely impact of various disposals that the court may consider.

Reports are prepared by criminal justice social workers based at each of the area teams whose details are contained in the right hand menu.
