Need help with claiming benefits or entitlements? Then call SeniorLine, Help the Aged's free telephone advice service. The service aims to promote independence by offering advice or information on a wide range of welfare rights issues. Their trained advice workers can help with issues such as:
- claiming benefits
- housing advice, and
- getting help at home.
- SeniorLine cannot take individual cases or offer advice work;
- The advice workers are not trained in counselling or legal matters, nor can they offer medical advice;
- Financial advice is restricted by the terms of the Financial Services Act 1986; and
- SeniorLine does not recommend tradespeople.
