Ralston day centre provides day care to older people to help them remain in their community and be as independent as possible.
A typical day in the centre offers varied activities which promote social interaction and aim to meet individual, personal, physical and care needs. We offer support with personal care:

- hairdressing;
- manicures;
- dentist;
- chiropody (at a cost of £15); and
- bathing and shaving.
We encourage clients to enjoy company and take advantage of the many activities and social events which we provide. These include:
- outings;
- group work activities ( quiz games, music and craft work);
- reality reminiscence; and
- library services.
What is the centre like?
Renfrew Day Centre is situated entirely on the ground floor. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It has a main dining area, 3 sitting areas, hairdressing salon and back and front gardens.
It is suitable for people who use wheelchairs and handrails are placed throughout the centre for those with poor mobility.

How do I get to the centre?
We provide transport to and from the centre. If you are a visitor to the centre and need directions, please phone us on 0141 892 2050.

All children visiting the unit are required to be supervised at all times by an accompanying adult.

Participation
We actively seek your participation in making decisions about the centre. You can, if you wish, get involved in:
- Carer groups/meetings
- Staff meetings
- Client meetings
- Recruitment of staff

GPs and other healthcare professionals can also make referrals and after you have been referred a member of staff will contact you to arrange to visit you at home and assess your needs.
